We know that making big life decisions can feel overwhelming, and choosing a retirement home is definitely one of them! But at Renaissance, we’re confident the benefits will make it all worth it.
It’s important to us that you understand the costs associated with moving in. You’ll pay an entry payment referred to as the Ingoing Contribution, which secures the right to reside and includes a deposit of $2,000. This secures your chosen villa and lifestyle at the Village.
Our exit fee is capped at 36% of the ingoing contribution you pay when you move in, so you’ll know exactly what to expect. This makes it much simpler to plan your finances for the future.
And don’t forget—there’s no stamp duty on your retirement unit, which is a nice bonus when buying or selling!
Living & Lifestyle Costs
Living at Renaissance can have a big positive impact on your lifestyle, health and wellness. That’s why your monthly fees cover a range of essential services and helpful conveniences, giving you more time to enjoy life.
These daily services and support are funded by all village residents, and the operator cannot profit from the fees.
Here’s what’s included in your monthly fees:
- Access to the leisure centre, available 24/7
- Council rates, covering services like water and sewerage from Redland City Council
- Refuse collection and disposal
- Emergency call system (Tunstall Emergency Call System)
- Building insurance (not contents insurance)
- Garden maintenance, including private courtyards and shared spaces
- Lawn mowing across the village
- Building and infrastructure maintenance and repairs
- Village bus service, with weekly shopping trips and other outings
- Management and administration services
- Electricity for all common areas
- CCTV and security services throughout the village
Please note, this fee doesn’t cover personal expenses like electricity, gas, contents insurance, phone and internet services, or healthcare.
Leaving the Village
No matter the circumstances, we understand that leaving your village home can be stressful for you and your loved ones. Rest assured you will not be burdened with preparing your villa for sale (except for normal wear and tear or damage). Our specialist team will take care of the refurbishment process and prepare the villa for sale at no cost to you.
Our team will also expertly market your villa and conduct a professional sales process in the shortest timeframe possible. There are no sales and marketing costs or miscellaneous fees charged to you.
Plus, in the unlikely event that your villa hasn’t sold in a certain timeframe, we’ll buy it back from you.
That’s sure to give you the peace-of-mind you need to enjoy your retirement to the fullest.
The exit payment made upon leaving depends on how long you lived in the Village. This is outlined in your residents’ residence contract and is capped at 36% of your ingoing contribution if you have stayed in the village for more than 4 years.
