About Us

Here's what life is like at our Victoria Point retirement village

Why Choose the Renaissance Retirement Lifestyle?

Renaissance has been creating retirement communities for over 35 years. The site for our village at Victoria Point was acquired in the late 1980's, in anticipation that the area would be a vital hub for the neighbouring suburbs. Today, Victoria Point is indeed a lively bayside focal point within Redland City.

Renaissance Victoria Point was originally part of the respected Manor Group, established in 1997 by owners who are proud Redlands residents themselves. Cleveland Manor and Wellington Manor were designed to meet the demand for quality retirement living in south East Queensland. Victoria Manor was established in 2002, before the brand name, along with Cleveland Manor and Wellington Manor were sold in 2006. The Victoria Point village was retained, leading to the formation of Renaissance Retirement Living and its flagship village Renaissance Victoria Point.

Construction began in 2003, and the village is now complete, with over 300 comfortable, contemporary villas set amongst well-preserved beautiful natural bushland and waterways.

Unlike many other villages, all the design, engineering and construction work is carried out by our in-house specialists. We're proud to say their work has won multiple awards for design, landscaping and building. All the ongoing management of the village is carried out by Renaissance staff. Many of them have been with us from the start, taking price and pleasure in what they do and it shows.

We've built relationships with local sporting clubs, special interest groups, professional associations and service organisations. Our staff are familiar faces among various community groups: supporting, competing and entertaining. This wider involvement complements the real feeling of community within the village, where respect, dignity and care are fundamental.

Village Resident Testimonials

My parents live in Renaissance and have a wonderful lifestyle. So many social activities on offer if you chose to participate. Exercise programs and outings also available. Family are always welcome and we had Easter lunch for 30 on the balcony. Certainly, a great place to enjoy your later years.

Meet the Team

Our Admin Team supports residents seven days a week from our Leisure Centre office, providing top-notch service and personal connections. Sue and Kerri bring warmth and genuine care to each resident, helping with everything from maintenance requests to booking bus trips and event tickets.

Janine and Lyndsay, our “Village Sales Team,” focus on finding you the ideal retirement lifestyle, both now and in the future. They understand that selling a family home and moving can be overwhelming and work hard to make the transition as smooth as possible. When the time does come to leave, they’re also here to guide you through the exit process, keeping it as stress-free as possible.

Daniel, our Maintenance and Security Manager, and his colleague Steve form a dedicated team committed to creating a safe, welcoming environment for everyone at Renaissance Retirement Living. In emergencies, they bring genuine care and compassion to residents, while their expert maintenance skills ensure villas remain hazard-free and always in great condition. Their efforts also help preserve the Village’s overall appearance for residents, friends, and family to enjoy.

Our beautiful landscaping is all thanks to Chris, our Horticulture Manager, and his experienced team of ten qualified horticulturalists—including two of our longest-serving employees. They’ve documented more than 1,392 plant varieties so far, including over 135 types of hibiscus and 62 types of camellias. Whether they’re caring for more than 300 individual gardens or the Village’s grounds, they always have time for a friendly chat and a smile, sharing their passion for plants and the well-being of our community.

Celebrating 20 Years of Exceptional Retirement Living

The Renaissance journey has been nothing short of extraordinary as we’ve transformed the breathtaking natural splendour of the Redlands into a flourishing community that consistently exceeds expectations, offering an enviable lifestyle for seniors beyond compare.

1988 - WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

In a pivotal moment that would define the next three decades, the Directors embarked on an ambitious endeavour with the acquisition of the first plot of land at Victoria Point. It would later become clear that this site would be perfect for a retirement village. Making it the third village built by the Directors, after they embarked on the journey of creating leading village communities in Cleveland and Birkdale in the late 1980s. Renaissance Victoria Point, originally known as Victoria Manor would be a hallmark development for the organisation and local community alike. Driven by a vision to create a meticulously crafted village to redefine the essence of retirement living, inherently centred around residents and lifestyle.

2003 - CONSTRUCTION STAGE ONE BEGINS

Construction broke ground in 2003 and from the beginning this project was infused with a vision far beyond simply building quality seniors accommodation; it was about creating a sanctuary that fosters community, support and an enriching lifestyle. As the physical structure began to take shape and plans for the future came to life, the surrounding area in Victoria Point also transformed. The Victoria Point Shopping Centre next door and Lakeside project were busily being established at the same time. A truly well-timed convenience for Renaissance residents then and now.

On the 26th of May 2004, we welcomed the first residents into 1st Avenue, marking a momentous chapter! As the pioneer members of our community began to call this haven their home, they too helped shape Village life and establish many of the Village traditions we celebrate today.

In October 2017, a significant chapter came to a close as construction was completed with the unveiling of 33rd Avenue.
