About Us
Learn what life is like at our Victoria Point retirement village.
Why Choose Renaissance Retirement Living?
For over 35 years, Renaissance has created exceptional retirement communities. We secured our Victoria Point site in the late 1980s, foreseeing its growth into today’s vibrant bayside hub of Redland City.
Originally part of the Manor Group, Victoria Point became the flagship for Renaissance Retirement Living in 2006. Construction began in 2003 and the village is now complete, featuring 300+ contemporary villas amid preserved bushland and waterways.
Unlike many villages, all design, engineering and construction are handled by our award‑winning in‑house team, with day‑to‑day management by long‑standing Renaissance staff who take real pride in their work.
We’re deeply connected to the local community - partnering with sporting clubs, interest groups and service organisations - enhancing a welcoming village culture built on respect, dignity and care.

1988 - WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
In a defining move, the Directors acquired the first Victoria Point site - soon recognised as ideal for a retirement village. Following earlier villages in Cleveland and Birkdale, this third project - originally Victoria Manor - became a hallmark development for the organisation and the local community. Their vision: a meticulously crafted, resident‑centred village that redefined retirement living.

2003 - CONSTRUCTION STAGE ONE BEGINS
Construction began in 2003 with a vision beyond quality housing - to create a sanctuary of community, support and enriching lifestyle. As the village took shape, Victoria Point evolved too, with the adjacent Shopping Centre and Lakeside project opening - perfectly timed conveniences for residents then and now.

2004 - COMMUNITY STARTS TO FORM
On the 26th of May 2004, we welcomed the first residents into 1st Avenue, marking a momentous chapter! As the pioneer members of our community began to call this haven their home, they too helped shape Village life and establish many of the Village traditions we celebrate today.![Official Opening by Quentin Bryce on stage Renaissance]()
2007 - DEVELOPMENT TAKES SHAPE
On 28 October 2007, the Leisure Centre precinct was officially opened by the Honourable Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO at a community celebration. It marked a major milestone for the village. Since then, the precinct has grown into the village’s heart - offering state-of-the-art amenities and a daily place to gather, connect and enjoy.

2009 - CONSTRUCTION STAGE TWO BEGINS
In 2009, another key milestone included the completion of the road bridge leading over to Phase 2 of the development and subsequent commencement of construction on the western side of the Village. Phase 2 development would eventuate to include 14 avenues and 129 villas.![Opening of wirawira walkway cutting ribbon Renaissance]()
2016 - NEW CONNECTIONS ARE FORMED
On 22nd July 2016, the opening of the Wirawira Walkway was a significant addition to the village landscape. The pedestrian Walkway travels over the natural waterway, providing a physical link across the village, as well as facilitating easy access and providing the opportunity to engage with the beauty of nature on our doorstep.![People waving on balcony Renaissance]()
