It was certainly a sight to behold when a 25 metre steel bridge was trucked into the village in one piece and carefully lowered onto its blocks by a skilled crane operator. The dual carriage footbridge is the final link from the western side of the village to the centrally located leisure centre.
Featuring a relaxing rest stop for nature watching and/or a cool drink from the water fountain, the bridge offers convenient accessibility and tranquillity. The bridge marks another major milestone in the transformation of the watercourse area that ambles through the village as part of the Eprapah Creek catchment. Further beautification will take place over coming months to enhance this parkland area for resident enjoyment.
